Our company is also allowed to sell scraps and certified trimmings. Yet, in some cases, not only we trade these materials but we also work in order to obtain materials which could be used later.
The manufacturing and recovery operations on scraps include:
-process of collection and choice, that means removing unwanted material.
-process of volumetric reduction; pressing, cutting, snapping and all those operations which are useful to obtain a product “ready for the furnace”.
All these treatments are useful to improve the material, eliminating impurities and contaminants.
Low contaminated scrap metals are worth more on the market and at the same time they produce less slags and dusts, improving the metallic burn-up during the “recasting”.
